Coaching Staff

Bruce Erickson - Elite Aerials:  Bruce has been involved in Freestyle skiing since 1975, coaching the US Freestyle Ski Team for 10 years. He was the Freestyle Skiing Supervisor for the Salt Lake Olympic Committee from 2000 to 2002. In 2005 Bruce was awarded Freestyle Domestic Coach of the Year. Along with aerials, Bruce also has an extensive background in diving and gymnastics.

  Jerry Grossi - Elite Aerials:  Jerry was a 10 year veteran on the U.S. Aerial Team.  He doubled the first part of his U.S Team career in moguls as well as aerials. Jerry has many top ten World Cup finishes along with a 2nd place finish in Aerials in Australia 2001. He was also on the 2000 World Championship Team. Jerry retired in 2003 and has stayed involved in Freestyle ever since.

  Tim Preston - FLY 1 & 2 Head Coach:  Tim is a four year US Freestyle Ski Team member and World Cup competitor. In 2003 he was awarded Junior Freestyle Skier of the Year. He won the overall 2004 North American Dual Mogul Series and the 2006 North American Mogul Series. Tim also has extensive coaching experience at trampoline camps, on snow mogul camps, and has been coaching for FLY Freestyle since 2003.

Heather McPhie - Staffing and Management:  Heather has been on the US Freestyle Ski Team for two years. She was the 2005 and 2006 North American Mogul Champion, as well FIS World Cup Rookie of the Year in 2007. Summer of 2006 she managed FLYTE Schools and the Intro Program. She has been coaching for FLY since 2003.

Cheryl Bilisoly - FLYTE School Head Coach:  Cheryl had a great career in Freestyle Mogul skiing, and was a part of the US Development Team. Now she is one of the main coaches for the Team Summit Freestyle Ski Team based out of Breckenridge. She manages the FLYTE Schools, and was a lead FLYTE School coach for the summer of 2006.
